Wonderful Character actor.
Arthur Daley could have stolen the eyes out of your head and you would still love him, he is one of the best characters on British TV ever.

Quite gutted even though he was a good age it is always sad lose somebody who was such an icon throughout my childhood into my teens. RIP.

R.I.P. George Cole. Brilliant comic actor, WAS Arfur Daley, Minder was one of the best series ever. He'd acted in films from a young age. They broke the mould after him.

Sad news. I loved Arfur in Minder and also Flash Harry in the old St Trinnian films. Whenever I have any dealings with anyone a bit...dodgy. I can hear that old piano music in my head and picture George Cole raising his lapels, putting on his trilby and scuttling away.

George Cole was a truly brilliant comic actor. Very sad day.
But on the bright side it gives ITV4 a very good reason to show Minder every day.

RIP good innings, he was great, loved minder. I always thought that was where the inspiration for Del Boy came from.
He was good in St Trinians as well, saw him in pirates of Penzance at dury lane was outstanding.
